The first chapter, this is where it all started. At the Redmond Chapter, we offer a broad range of activities tailored to the needs of the senior residents of Redmond Heights and the passions of the Redmond volunteers. Technology Workshops: In collaboration with the RHS Cybersecurity Club, we initiated an ongoing series to address barriers faced by seniors and promote digital literacy. Knowledgeable and passionate students created a tailored curriculum to bridge the digital divide.

We offer a selective summer volunteering internship, allowing 3-4 students to engage in an immersive experience, volunteering at the retirement home at least 3-4 times weekly. This program helps build intergenerational bonds and provides networking opportunities with health professionals working at the facilities.

As a co-founder of the Blu Birds initiative and a senior in high school, I am driven by a passion for aiding vulnerable communities. Coming from an immigrant family that lacked intergenerational bonds, Blu Birds has given me the opportunity to build these connections. Through this initiative, I have learned from and aided a diverse community that has influenced and shared so much with me. Each visit rewards me with heartfelt conversations and smiles, creating moments of profound connection and joy.

Hi my name is Prisha I am one of the co-founders and executive director of the BluBirds club as well as a high school senior. Through BluBirds ive found a way to connect with my community and grow my interest in the healthcare field. Additionally, i've been able to work with hundreds of senior residents in the hopes of combatting isolation within retirement homes. I am excited to continue to expand BluBirds and spread awareness about brain health to make a lasting impact!
